New venues

More than 1 in 4 Canadian adults have difficulty getting to and from the dentist or sitting in a dental chair for any treatment (table).

Prevora enables dental hygienists to reach these adults where they live or spend their time and to avoid invasive dental care.

CHX is pioneering the use of Prevora in the community to serve this growing population.

In a recent study, for example, Prevora was applied successfully by a nurse and hygienist in 10 minutes to high-risk adults visiting a seniors’ community centre, a medical practice, a hospital and a long-term care facility. Importantly, these patients reported this new service was very important, very acceptable and with a very positive effect on their general health.
